The 13th abolished slavery.
The 15th gave all races the vote.
The 19th gave women the vote.
The 24th abolished poll taxes.

He's a lunatic, but then again so are the people who want to get rid of the 1st and 2nd amendments and the like.

The far left and the far right both want to eliminate the amendments they don't like. It's just a different flavor of crazy.

i think wanting slavery to be legal and women/minorities unable to vote is significantly worse than wanting guns banned, and comparing the two is false equivalence in my book

even in the fight against the worst of the left, the right would do better to empower a man like jones who would be against them on many subjects than a man like moore who would destroy what they fight for

Getting rid of the 2nd amendment isnt on any remotely prominent politicians agenda. Common sense gun laws =/= no guns ever

There's a difference between questioning 1 amendment and wanting to eliminate a slew of them.

A lot of liberals don't even opose the second amendment they just view it differently.

Freedom of speech, freedom to bear arms, freedom to vote, freedom to live, etc, are all rights. They have the same protections under the law. Wanting to get rid of any of them for any subset of the law abiding population is despicable.

Right but there's certainly people on the left who want to get rid of the 1st amendment, 2nd amendment, etc. Can't deny they don't exist and aren't a growing voice. I'd say they're about as prevalent as the people who legitimately want to get rid of every amendment after the 10th. Hopefully both groups stop being prevalent because rights are rights.

but far less powerful as none of them are about to be elected to the senate

they do. they all should be protected. but they're not all equally important.

and they're not all equally under attack. no sitting congressperson or senator wants to ban the second amendment. the same cannot be said of banning slavery, after the AL election.
