Pokemon Emerald
Wario Land games
Links Awakening
Metroid Fusion
A myriad of great Kirby Games
Mario and Luigi
A great selection of SNES ports

Yeah the 3DS might get more current recognition but the GBA is where it's at.

I'm going with the PSP because it's a cheap, portable machine that has access to many of the best RPGs on the planet.

3DS for me to be honest. Aside from the SNES I've not found a console with more games I like (before we even throw in DS backwards compatibility).

Can the 3DS play Link's Awakening? Aside from the Virtual Console?

As a single system I agree but in general the DS Lite is the best IMO. DS+GBA games is an insane library and it has many of the same advantages as the GBA SP(portable, strong battery life, durable, etc).

But the SP is a close 2nd and it's the only system that gets thrown into my backpack still to this day.

DS is the best by far. The Gameboy and Gameboy Color had poor libraries aside from Pokemon.

Not to my knowledge outside of GBC VC.

Personally I preferred A Link Between Worlds though so it's a matter of opinion I guess as to which gives which console more merit. *shrug*

I don't think that's true, but the GBA had an awesome library regardless

To those people saying DS Lite, it is true if you count GBA comparability it is the better system. But It can't play Game Boy games though...

There aren't a ton of GameBoy games worth playing IMO. There's some that are good but few that are great.

Not to mention it's a portable emulating machine.

My vote for best handheld in terms of library goes to the DS though, that thing had so many amazing games, it's incredible. The 3DS is great but it pales in comparison.

Yea that's the big reason for me why the SP shouldn't even be considered
