Panic attack. Couldnt even get her to go inside to speak with her manager so that they could, you know, work out a plan for the night.

I used to suffer from anxiety in a way that could have been characterized as a disorder. I learned to manage it. I remember how paralyzing it was. But its still difficult for me to sympathize.

We have a responsibility to do our job and to be proactive about our health and ability to work. Refusing to put a modicum of effort into making the job a priority is childish, especially for a problem thats all in your head.

It isnt a disease, its a condition, and we have to learn to live with and work with all the bullshit we go through because life doesnt wait. I wish mental healthcare was actually affordable to the majority of the population.

Oh, and I found out that you can apply for disability for panic attacks. What a roundabout inefficient waste of resources that is.

If it's debilitating and you know it, and aren't finding treatment for it, I don't sympathize either, but sometimes shit is too stronk. Thats worth sympathizing imo

Well shes going to get fired because NO she didnt find someone to cover for her and simply didnt go in and I wound up having to talk to them for her. And dont presume that I dont have sympathy when Ive been putting up with this crap for as long as Ive known her and seen her lose more than one job over it.

And yeah, I lost ten years of my life to anxiety, so I actually do know what Im talking about.
