Third year running, this guy writes up a cute, computer sciency Christmas story and provides an advent calendar. Essentially you get a two-part programming puzzle every day until Christmas Day. It's by far my favorite Christmas tradition. Anyone else doing it?
Puzzles aren't super hard, and can often be solved by simple brute forcing. They're just fun. Themes include regex string parsing, classic computer science problems, graph/tree searches, hashing, random generator functions, etc. Very fun! I'm doing them all in Python since I just love coding small Python scripts for things like this, but many use this as a way to learn a new language.

So who's doing them this year, and what do you think so far?

I completely forgot about it to be honest. I did some of the puzzles 2 years ago though (also in Python).

This year's puzzles are a bit easy, I'd say, but still very amusing. There are some that are tricky still, and I think that part of the reason I think they're easy is because they're kinda similar in style to previous years. I recommend catching up, it's still very fun.
