I find it odd seeing as theres nothing more cruel than literally raising a farm of any animal to literally butcher and eat so a lot of animal cruelty laws make no sense to me.

I love pork, beef and chicken but i understand we literally butcher them daily without a slight bit of disgust. I feel sorry for those chickens that are crammed up all their lives.
The animals we eat should live decent lives and when they are killed for us to eat they should be killed in a painless way. About shark species that attack humans though, I dont care how they die or how much pain their go through. I hope they go extinct. Harming animals for fun should be punished because we don't want a society that tolerates cruelty for pleasure. This is why we let cows die but if a slaughterhouse worker punts the cow in the face he should be punished even though the animal is going to be killed anyways. Of course factory farming still sucks and I greatly anticipate the future of lab-grown meat.
