holy fuck that movie

like I was honestly speechless it was so good

I still need to see Shape of Water (which is looking to be a big competitor for me) but goddamn that's a high bar

I probably put Three Billboards second only to Logan (which is hardly fair because that's a character I already had 17 years of emotional commitment to going in)

in other news, I tried the Burger King Flamin' Hot Mac N Cheetos and they're actually pretty good

IT's in the top 10, probably like 7th right now, though I still have a lot I need to see. Lady Bird and The Shape of Water are the ones I'm trying to see asap.

I dunno guys Logan and Baby Driver and Three Billboards are among the most acclaimed movies of the year; liking those doesn't put me or anyone else in the minority.

95% of it was Frances McDormand. She was just incredible.

But really the rest of what made it good came down to excellent writing (it lives up to In Bruges, which is a really high bar) and impressive handling of emotion. There are very few movies that capture the overwhelmingness of rage like this one did
