He is young (37), so the outlook seems to be more positive than negative? I did some reading and it suggests it has like, an 85-92% 5-year survival rate. Assuming those who didn't make that were kinda older and more feeble as it were, while it's not great news it's not the worst it can be.

It's hard to know what to do in this situation. I've never had anyone (until now) have to fight Cancer, nevermind get Chemo and everything else that comes with that. He's already had successful surgery on his colon, so that part is done.

my uncle had that. doctor pretty much said that so long as it is contained in the colon, then you should be fine (he was in in his early 40s when he was diagnosed).
the problem is if it spreads to other organs, then you might as well start writing your will (legitimately the doctor's words).

good luck to your brother. good thing is they caught it now and not in a few years.

Yeah, He wasn't even feeling sick. He was just really constipated and started passing blood so they did a check.

Best of luck to your brother.

I have something called ulcerative colitis, which gives me a higher risk of colon cancer. And the symptoms of a flareup of UC are the same as colon cancer... so I have to get checked like every year.
