Every who down in whoville liked football a lot
But the Browns fans, who lived north of whoville, did not The Browns fans hated Football! The whole Football season! Now, please don't ask why. Everyone knows the reason It could be they would soon be 0 and 16 A team so bad, had never been seen But I think the most likely reason of all Was how their team played every fall Whatever the reason, their record or play They were all eagerly awaiting Christmas day They stood there on Christmas eve, hating the Who's Hoping they'd beat the Bears, but figuring they'd lose Staring down from their cave with a frown on their face KNowing they were all watching teams still in the playoff race. Indianapolis Colts @ Baltimore Ravens "Even the Colts have won three games this year," they said all sporty "We haven't even won that many in the last forty!" Then they growled, with their fingers strumming "I must find some way to stop the playoffs from coming." For tomorrow, he knew, all the who's with their weird names would be watching their teams playing their games Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers Then the who, young and old, would sit down to a feast. And the Browns fans snarled. "The Packers won't make it this year, at least." And the more the Browns fans thought of Football in the first of the year The more they thought "I've got to stop the playoffs, that'll bring me some cheer." Then they got an idea! An idea so foul! "I know just what to do!" they said with a growl "We'll stop some teams from making the post-season. That'll get them upset, even if the Browns aren't the reason." Los Angeles Rams @ Tennessee Titans The Rams would make it, but the Titans might not "With a loss, they can't win the division" the browns fans thought. Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots And Oh Belichick, they thought with glee. He'd knock the bills back with his cheating, tee-hee! Cleveland Browns @ Chicago Bears SUPER LOCK Of course the Browns would probably lose to the bears And then 0-16 would soon be theirs. Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints But oh, the Falcons would surely be upset with passion After losing that last super bowl in such a fashion They'd soon be crying all night and all day! Upset their team would no longer get to play! Detroit Lions @ Cincinnati Bengals The lions could still make it, and they thought that was fine "If they can do it after 0-16, maybe the playoffs could eventually be mine!" Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers And the Panthers would make it in with a win But the Buccaneers were in as bad a state as they've ever been Miami Dolphins @ Kansas City Chiefs The Chiefs were up, and then they were down The Browns fans with their team was that good, they thought with a frown Denver Broncos @ Washington Redskins The Broncos and Redskins were already out "More to commiserate with," the Browns fans did shout --- Growing up, I wish some teacher told me "You probably won't ever need this, but if you don't learn it, you might miss out on something really cool." ... Unfortunately the Chargers could still make it in And the Jets had more wins than anyone expected them to win Jacksonville Jaguars @ San Francisco 49ers LOCK And the Jaguars, who played bad out west Would still stand over the AFC South, and get to put their defense to the test Seattle Seahawks @ Dallas Cowboys But the Seahawks were still inching closer to being out A loss to the cowboys, would surely make them all pout New York Giants @ Arizona Cardinals And the Giants sucked, and the Cardinals were relying on Blaine Oh how the Browns fans knew their pain! Pittsburgh Steelers @ Houston Texans LOCK Of course the Steelers would roll on winning game after game And the Texans could look forward to next year with Deshaun Watson, all the same They rode with their load, hoping to get rid of the cheer! For all the teams that wouldn't make the playoffs this year! "Boo to the Who!" they said with the end of the year upcoming "They're finding out now that no playoffs are coming!" "They're just waking up! I know just what they'll do!" "Their mouths will hang open a minute or two, Then the who's down in whoville will be crying boohoo!" "That's a noise," grinned the Browns fans, "That I simply must hear." So they paused, and put their hands to their hear And they did hear a sound over the rising snow It started in low, then it started to grow But the sound wasn't sad! Why this sound sounded merry! It couldn't be so! But it was Merry! Very! They stared down at whoville, watching with their eyes! Then they shook! What they saw was a shocking surprise! Every who down in whoville, the tall and the small Was singing! Without any playoffs at all! He hadn't stopped the playoffs from coming! They came! Somehow or another, they came just the same! And the Browns with thier feet ice ocld in the snow Stood puzzling and puzzling: "How could it be so?" "The Raiders won't make it, and neither will the bills! "Without the playoffs, how are the fans getting their thrills?" And they puzzled three hours, till their puzzlers were sore Then the Browns fans thought of something they hadn't before "Maybe football<' they thought "Isn't just about the score." "Maybe Football...perhaps...means a little bit more!" And then what happened then? Well in Whoville they say That the Browns fans samll hearts grew three szes that day! And the minute their heart didn't feel quite so tight They whizzed through the streets, and shouted all night Oakland Raiders @ Philadelphia Eagles On Christmast day, even as the Eagles lost Their fans came out to support them, no matter the cost And the Browns fans realized something with glee!
