Current Events > So I saw Star Wars: RotS at Midnight last night.. *review/spoilers*

It was fucking amazing. I don't care if my friends disagreed with me, I think it was better then Empire and RotJ. It's hard to compare them however, different styles, but I liked it better overall. So I'd say it goes RotS > RotJ = Empire > AotC > ANH > TPM

The experience was awesome. The guy who sold the tickets had the vader voice-changer and the force fx vader saber. Also, we saw people in makeshift jedi robes, and some people with sabers. We brought sabers too. I wore black long sleeved shirt, pants, and a single black glove.. and my Dooku's saber. Some guy was also dressed in a full Jawa costume, with the glowing eyes and all. So badass.

In the theater, it was an AWESOME audience. During the moviefone.com commercials or whatever everyone was like "THIS ISN'T STAR WARS. WE WANT STAR WARS" or "ON A SCALE OF 1 TO STAR WARS, I GIVE THIS A 0".. it was hillarious, and the theater was JAM packed too.

When the SW Logo came on, I started clapping loudly and then EVERYONE in the theater started to hoot and holler.

I was very disapointed with Grievous though, he could have had a much better fight. I mean seriously, killed by a blaster? And also Ki Adi Mundi, HE WAS KILLED BY A BLASTER AND HES A FUCKING JEDI MASTER. So whacked. And Plo Koon's death was lame too.. death by ship?

Anyway, the Dooku fight was pretty cool, the beheading was the best part though, cause it was his own saber against him.

And when R2 took on those two Elite Battle Droids by himself and burned them, everyone in the theater started clapping. It was nerdgasmic.

When Yoda rode on Chewbacca I yelled 'RIDE THAT WOOKIE' and got some laughter. It was awesome for the parts that they showed Chewwy in.

The Yoda VS Sideous fight was pretty good.. not the best though. The best part was actually when Yoda walked into the room and slammed the two Royal Guards against the wall effortlessly without looking, killing them. Yoda was such a badass in this movie though, especially when he saber-threw his lightsaber into the droid's chest, lept on the chest, and ripped out the saber, blowing it up. I was sad when he said "Into exile I must go.. failed.. I have.." but at least it explained how he got to Dagobah.

The Mace Windu vs Chancellor scene was so gutwrenching, and I have no idea why. Like seirously, after Anakin's "I NEED HIM!!!" and slashing Windus arm off, then Palpatine lightning him over the side, I was actually at the edge of my chair holding my mouth like "OMFG".. that was probably the best scene in the movie, except for maybe the end.

Speaking of the end, the Obi Wan VS Anakin was the best fight in any SW movie, hands fucking down. It was also emotionally attatching because it was master vs apprentice. I loved how cocky Anakin was in this movie, even more so then AOTC. The burning part at the end was so badass when he lept over Obiwan and got his legs slashed off. I also felt a shiver go down my spine when earlier in the movie, Sidious was like "I shall call you.. Darth... VADER! .. and so fucking awesome when people called him that while he was in the Anakin form.

I was disapointed that Qui-Gon's hologram wasn't shown when Yoda was like 'your old master found a way to communicate from the netherworld'.. I was looking forward to seeing him again. At least it explains how Obi-Wan uses that technique with Luke.

I love how it tied up all the loose ends.. and it was one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. The combination of the excellent saber-fighting, intense plot, dark undertones, and excellent audience atmosphere made it a 10/10, A+ experience that I'm glad I went to.
