So, what happens to the host when the traveler leaves? Do they return to normal or does the just become brain dead or a husk. Because if thats the case, then wouldnt that technically void their plans by basically. Causing tons of people to just drop dead?

Pretty sure that the person dies. Remember the travelers only jump into people who were supposed to die anyways, at the moment of their death

Traveler doesn't leave, they assume that life. They can die or be overwritten. The director chooses the hosts that are near death when they transfer the Travelers' consciousness.

What happens to their original body? I know the one dude is supposedly like 100 or something. So his original body has to die at some point.

The original body they leave in the future? It's just a husk, no mind. One way trip.

So his mind was just shifted around to different hosts over the years?

I believe that was the implication, yes. Since he was so invaluable, it was the way to keep his mind around.

I wonder how they take over someones life if they were known as a pianist or something major. Or do they purposely pick nobodies so that people dont notice changes in big players.
