Man, San Andreas is so big and so fun, and they even have a mission creator for it...

I really wish they had released the mission creator for GTA Online :(

The depressing part is realizing how small the world actually is and how repetitive the radio gets. It seemed so much bigger 13 years ago.

Still the best GTA in terms of content though imo.

just play gta online with a mod menu. it's like the good old gta days where you'd just f*** around with cheats for hours only with actual people to team up with (or harrass).

game sucks without mods which is why its so common online

the radio is kind of repetitive but the game actually had the best soundtrack out of every one of them.

the soundtrack for every game that came afterwards is clearly budget licensed music.

It's between that and Vice City, at least. Having two rock stations was nice, but VRock was possibly better than both of them combined.

I always did like SA's soundtrack more than VC, but I never really liked VC much. This mightjust be because my parents bought my copy of VC at a pawn shop and it was so scratched up that it constantly fucked up though.

It makes me depressed just because it reminds me I used to be capable of feeling happiness and enjoying things.

Not depressed no, I still play a lot of old games so this wouldn't be an unusual thing for me to do at all actually.

Just last year I tried to do a no deaths, no busted playthrough. I got as far as the San Ferrio mission where you take out the perverted priest for that Jizzy guy, but I accidentally got trapped next to a burning car and it exploded, which then caused my car to explode, and I died.

I tried doing a 100% run. The street races broke me. It's ridiculous how much stuff is in that game.

For me it was the vigilante missions. It was just way too hard to run around in a stolen cop car while also fighting crime.

I don't remember what I did them in. I wanna say I tried the hunter 'copter and ended up not being able to aim it well enough. Believe I ended up doing them in the Ranger or whatever the country cop jeep is.

I definitely did the ambulance missions in one of those podunk three street towns. Super easy.

Same, at least with games. Since I couldn't afford new games back then, I'd actually invest time in the ones I did own and often replayed them.

I did that probably 10 years ago and the save file had at least 80 hours logged on it. No way I'd have that kind of time now.

I think the worst part of it for me was the driver's school. The gang wars were probably my favorite feature of SA and it pissed me off that they never really brought it back. VCS's gang wars were shit. Saint's Row kind of brought it back, but they tied territory takeovers to annoying, tedious missions instead of just wiping out gang members.

the ambulance missions were easy and the firetruck missions were doable, but having to dodge like 40 cops while trying to kill some random dude was just way too much.

I feel this way with Halo 3.

I think everyone has that one big game they played around 14 years old that did this to them.

I genuinely don't remember having much trouble with the vigilante missions, but I can't remember how I managed to do them.

Driving school was AIDS though, not gonna lie.

Pretty sure I did them on the police bike. If you're stocked up on enough SMG ammo, you can just follow the cars and keep shooting them. I always do the "R3" missions as early as possible; mainly because of the health/armor/etc. bonuses, but also because it's always confined to the earliest portions of the map.

I still think the Portland area of GTA3 is quite big enough. Once the bridge opened I lost interest, just too much space.

Oh wait, I'm like ten years older than everyone else here. Nevermind.

Oh....

I looked at the wiki to remind myself of what vehicles you could use and now I remember how I did them. There's a gltich you can abuse.Park your car next to a Burger Shot, get your target, and run inside the store. Wait about twenty seconds. Leave the store and get back in the car so you don't time-out. The target will be eliminated. I assume this is because SA stores its interior locations above the height limit on the map. Entering the store causes your target to teleport to your height and leaving it causes them to plummet to the ground.

Supply Lines was changed/fixed in later versions of the game. In the original PS2 version, the RC plane's fuel would constantly deplete which made it a brutally tight time trial. In later versions, you'd only deplete fuel when you accelerated. Just gliding doesn't do it.
