It's that time of the year, folks. Time to review the heels and the faces, the champs and the chumps, the matches and the mayhem. For many years now, Board 8 has come together and voted, choosing the best and the worst of wrestling. This year, Eddv is temporarily stepping aside to allow me to come aboard and count your votes! It's time to hand out the superlatives to the wrestlers (and sports entertainers) who stole our hearts and wasted our time this year.

You can name up to three nominations in each category, and those nominations will be weighted as points to determine the boards top dogs in each category.

Please feel free to PM me your nominations in each category using the handy quick-sheet in the next post. Nominations are due at 11:59:59 PM CST on December 31st, 2017.

Here are this year's categories:

Best Wrestler: The worker who best exemplifies wrestling perfection. The face or heel that runs the place or deal. Who stakes the claim as 2017's #1 talent in the business?

Best Match: Punk vs. Cena. Hart vs. Austin. Flair vs. Steamboat. What match will join these legendary bouts as the year's best?

Best Event: Whether it's a Wrestle Kingdom or a Wrestlemania or a Wrestle Circus, the big pay-per-views and live events leave indelible impressions on wrestling fans every year. What will you choose as you favorite event this year?

Feud of the Year: Two (or more) men come face-to-face, ready to throw down and settle their differences in the ring. What tense battle of might over 2017 impressed you the most?

Angle of the Year: Aside from Kurt, what moment in wrestling this year stole the show for you? A surprise return? A dastardly betrayal? A pie thrown by a mysterious off-screen nemesis? You decide!

Best Promotion: It takes more than two men in a ring to make show. Which wrestling promotion impressed you the most this year?

Best Weekly Wrestling Program: Every week, you flipped channels to this show, eager to never miss a second. Which regularly airing wrestling or wrestling-related program was your favorite this year?

Best Female: Because they deserve it, which female talent blew you away this year?

Top Tag Team: Teams take two to three talents to tag and triumph in title trial. Type the three top teams this twelve-month term.

Best Personality: Whether it's a boisterous heel or a comedic face, a silent monster or a musically gifted troubadour, wrestling constantly produces some masters of the stick. Who are your top choices for most enjoyable personalities in wrestling?

Most Improved: Last year they may have been a 4 out of 10 and mediocre at best, but this year they're lighting it up and tearing down the house. Who went from zero to hero for you this year?

Best New Character: This category can include either new workers or repackaged talents with brand new gimmicks. Who was the freshman with most?

Best Theme Song: Pomp and circumstance is more than just Randy Savage's entrance theme. It's what makes every entrance matter. Which theme songs (old or new) left you tapping your toe or turning your head every time it blared across the PA system.

Worst Angle of the Year: Not every storyline is good. Which stinker left the worst taste in your mouth this year?

Worst Wrestler: Who sucked hardest in the ring or on the mic?

Most Embarassing Wrestling Fiasco: What event in or out of the ring this year was the most utterly embarassing?

Least Improved: Who went from hero to zero this year?

What if more happens in the next few days? Also he did file a bunch of XFL trademarks. And this is the dumbest thing WWE involved thing in years and years.

I mean, after the sale of stock, it will have nothing to do with the WWE itself anymore. It won't actually affect WWE fiscally.

May I nominate Conor vs Floyd for feud of the year? I believe WON allows it.

If not DC vs Jon Jones and TJ vs Team Alpha Male should be eligible.

Omega vs Okada was pretty good n all what with producing a better series of matches than Flair vs Steamboat.

I would also like to remind everyone how much Shane/Taker sucked and request their presence in the worst of categories alongside mainstays like Roman.

Chaos and bc feud wasn't anything special this year though.

The hype was mostly based around how good would the matches be.

I just realized that I barely watched any current wrestling at all this year

dropped the network after the rumble and then switched to catching up on Stardom and Lucha Underground
