As a guy with long hair. I just recently stopped using showercaps and now I just put my hair up into a man bun. You can still wash everything you need without getting your hair wet. It's not that difficult :)

Well, yes and no. If somebody washes their hair every day their scalp replenishes oils much faster and if they skip a day, it's very apparent. Somebody who DOESN'T wash their hair every day isn't producing oil at such a high rate and it's not so obvious.
