Chamberlain is probably the most misunderstood leader in world history. If he had attacked Hitler instead of appeasing him, Germany would have won world war 2 comfortably. By agreeing a peace deal and immediately building up British forces at an exponential rate, he gave western powers a fighting chance rather than a war they couldn't possibly win.

how big was UK's airforce in like 1936? Would Germany have been able to just bomb them into submission? A naval invasion would have been impossible. Germany's navy was tiny compared to UKs even when Chamberlain was in charge. Germany possibly could have gotten a few hundred thousand troops to UK but they would have had to supply by air drops since they would have no chance of controlling the channel long term.

And he was correct. Only America had nukes and it would have taken Stalin's boot off Europe. The Red Army massacring Czechs, Hungarians, etc, and horrible puppets like in Romania wouldn't have happened. We'd be further ahead technologically too, as the Germans were to be rearmed and folded into the Allied military.
