A Hat in Time > DDLC > Hollow Knight > Edith Finch > Cuphead > NitW
for stuff in the poll that I've played. Could slot in End Is Night above Cuphead if you want, though I'm not a huge fan of that one either (the first four are all good games. 20XX is my favorite 2017 indie game that isn't in the poll). --- All the stars in the sky are waiting for you. ... Divinity: Original Sin II not being listed is a horrific crime.
A lot of people don't realize that Divinity is an indie game though for some reason. So TC is excused. Also missing is The Sexy Brutale, SteamWorld Dig 2 and Thimbleweed Park. To be fair, D:OS2 has received enough attention to make it look like a game from a major publisher. I had never heard of Cuphead or A Hat in Time until they were out. I'm still not familiar with quite a few on the TC list.
