Luke trained 12 and Kylo killed them. Apparently they were children of nobody and had no relatives or any screen time at all. Uh, fucking Luke Skywalker trained your child and 11 others and all but 1 lived because he killed them and Luke fucks off.
Its like if Chuck Norris trained your child with 11 others yet all but one is murdered and Chuck Norris just dissappears. No consequence from any person related to any of those children.....awesome. --- There can be only one. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I hate how this Rian Johnson guy thinks he's so clever with the "Rey is nobody. Anybody cash be special" angle when we know of dozens of jedi who came from nothing already. Including those randos luke trained.

Also, the practical answer is the movie only has so much time to deal with everything. Some things are gonna fall through the cracks and don't need to be slavishly explained.
