Leonhart will run a favorite character SMFFFC himself at some point, or at least that was the plan when it was last mentioned. Boot Management The main choice was between running the contests as a clone of the original run, or using I-2 boots, basically coming down to these options: Reruns: Duplicate runs of each contest. No changes. Reboot Replacement: I-2 boots replace I-1 boot counterparts. ie. Tidus doesn't return until Amarant returned in V-1. Reboot Redemption: Run II-2 using I-2 boots, with an additional "redemption" slot or two decided by nominating from a pool of booted contestants (could be booted of either contest?) --- I request affiliated many pipes. I was thinking only 1 slot wouldn't be a big deal for rounds with 5-boots, and then maybe 2 slots when there's 10-boots, an extra day or two just didn't seem like a big deal to me. We could just do brief nomination periods, but with the pool of possible nominations limited to characters who had already been in and were booted. I'm not sure when the first time a booted character came back, but just as an example, when Amarant originally came back in V, we'd just use that slot as a chance to nom back in one of any of the characters that had been booted in the new timeline. So that's Redemption Rules but instead of using an extra slot it just replaces returner characters only, leaving newcomers intact. Thinking about it again I actually think that's the only way to do it, extra slot redemption would presume that all contestants are the same as their SMFFFC-1 counterpart field... otherwise the # of contestants wouldn't match up. kateee 01/05/18 2:29:06 AM #21:	i don't want any boots at all personally. 24/7 rounds is just a different environment and you can't look out for a character during those rounds the same way you could when the contest wasn't automated. the whole appeal of 24/7 rounds for me was that people didn't have to stress as much if the character you were supporting went out because hey the contest is always going so that's just how it is. now you're just constantly checking and you ARE going to miss rounds. i see nomination topics as momentum killers so i don't want that either. i don't want to see it like we're creating one alternate timeline where the boots continue. more like creating 19 different timelines where all the boring stuff like noms has been taken care of and just get to the saving part. <cite>kateee posted [p:893455886] in Save My Fa... Definitely no nominauon period. And I agree with Kate here. Boots put too much pressure on us for what should be a rip roaring good time. There's boots regardless.
