Damn. That's 38 days of Finals....

Do we even need a bot for the Finals?

You have 48 hours for 10 votes, I can't imagine it would ever get bad enough to someone has to rush their votes to break the hour thing.

I mean, it's ~20 contests after all. 38 days doesn't sound bad at all tbqh. We just ran this first contest I-2 in the span of 1 week.

I assume for preliminary rounds it'll just be the booted character(s) with most votes gets in. So for V-2 it'll be the I-2, II-2, or III-2 booted character with the most votes that takes the sole returnee spot. But maybe GMUN will have something more Save My-y in mind. Or maybe he'll limit V-2's pool to only I-2 boots because Amarant was a I boot?

How do boots work exactly?

alllllright I got through compiling the wiki results into an excel sheet, hopefully got all their names being consistent



Blue = Newcomer
Brown = Returner

so the browns will be replaced with the preliminary round of from boots, newcomers wuill all be the same

Red = Character was booted in the next contest
Green = ... well, character came back

... we didn't boot any from XIII as we expanded to the 100 contests? Anyhow, still unsure how to handle the soft-boots and they're kind of bluring the lines for me to tell what *were* hardbooted

at least we have many contests to figure that out but FFD could probably clear this up

we didn't boot anyone from 13 because raytan's alt brigade warped the lower half the results hardcore so I didn't think it was fair

in SMFFFC V there are 5 Returner Spots that need to be filled, the pool comes from characters that were booted in I-2, II-2, and III-2, yes.

And yes my preliminary round was gonna be Save-y, I was thinking running rounds limited to all the Returner Candidates, narrowing them down one by one until we get the 5 Returners for V-2

Yeahh I figured that would be the case, and I figure I just have to use No Boots on SMFFFC-2 as well... although I suppose it COULD actually do the 10 boots so they can be filled up Returners as they normally should. Gonna need input on that.

The hardboots from +XIV have just been the bottom 15, yeah? Like I said it's a bit blurred with soft boots so it's hard to say for sure since 102 is cut to 100

Is that list for XIV missing someone? It only extends down one place below XV+ instead of two.

Save My rounds for preliminary seems fine to start with, but the list of booted characters may get really long by the end. I guess you could just up the number of eliminations per round.

As for soft boots I guess we can still treat them the way soft boots are always treated. Just put them in the preliminary rounds and see if the voters want will keep them or let them go.
