I'm gonna go for the CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate). My goal is to pass the CCDA exam and then go on to complete the CCDP (Cisco Certified Design Professional) cert, too. Since I already have CCNP Route/Switch, I only have to take two exams total to get the CCDP cert.
CCNP Route/ Switch requirements: 1. CCNA Route/Switch (requires ICND1 and ICND2 exams or the all-in-one CCNA exam) 2. The 3 professional level exams, ROUTE, SWITCH, AND TSHOOT CCDP requirements: 1. CCDA exam 2. 3 professional level exams, ROUTE, SWITCH, AND ARCH Since CCNP and CCDP share two exams, I only need to pass the CCDA exam and the ARCH exam to get the CCDP cert, which will also renew my CCNP Route/switch cert for another 3 years. Also, I'm surprised to see that Amazon is offering free same day delivery now. That's pretty awesome. Also got a punch down tool and a cable stripper. They have Amazon Prime Now that offers free 2 hour delivery with a limit catalog, but regular Amazon has same day delivery as well. Neat. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Good on you, what do you currently do and what's the long term career goal? I'm currently a network engineer for a company in Austin, TX. My long term career goal is to have CCIE level certs in route/switch and security as well as professional level certs in Design, Data Center, and Collaboration (voice/video). Then I'll branch out to other manufacturers like Juniper and Palo Alto eventually. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

My CCNP Route/switch cert expires in April of 2019. I could just wait until close to that time and retake one of the CCNP route/swith exams again, but I'd rather keep pushing forward and gaining new skills instead of just taking the same exams over and over again.
