I 100% do not unless I'm doing casual research. But I have some co-workers/peers who hate their work, and let it live in their mind as a parasite in all waking hours.

It's totally different if you're in sales, or own your business, that's different. I get that. But man I know a lot of people who actively make their lives worse.

I like my job a lot, though. I just hate when I have dreams that make me think there is some urgent task that I need to complete. Then I wake up and it takes a bit to realize the task itself doesn't make sense.

I used to dream of Excel worksheets a lot, and it made me so incredibly angry. That's when I decided to focus on keeping my work and home lives separate.

occasionally. if a problem was bothering me and i left for the day without solving it sometimes it'll sit in the back of my brain and nag me. honestly, some of my best solutions have came to me while walking my dogs in the evening.

For better or worse my work and social life are pretty thoroughly intertwined. Largely because I'm friends with my coworkers and we regularly hang out socially. But I'm an accountant so it's hard to separate myself from not looking at everything from the accounting side.

Yes. I like the job and I have developing freedom so I am constantly thinking of new things and ways to improve a program

Only when it overlaps with other events in my life. A couple weeks ago I worked a 200 person party, got an hour of sleep, went into working a festival for school, then went straight into a 300 person party. I was dreading that in the week leading up to it. Outside of rare stuff like that, nope. Then again all my friends work there so we often joke about work, so that kind of counts.

first 5 years of my career I couldn't turn off work mode and was always thinking about it.

since then I get the random occasional work thought outside of work, but I also spend a lot of time at work not thinking about work, so it all evens out in the end.

Back when I had a job, I did. But I also hated it. I think that's a normal reaction to have to hating your job. That perpetual existential dread that consistently dickslaps you everyday of the week, reminding you how terrible your job actually is.

I used to have dreams of it, annoyed me too because it always made my anxious and made it hard to sleep.

I mean, in thinking about it, my job is more or less related to a lot of personal activities I am involved in. I am on the board of a nonprofit and we work with my real job quite closely, for instance.
