Can you handle the heat?

This is not a question of how much heat you can handle, but rather, how spicy you prefer your food to be when you order spicy food. If you never order spicy food then you probably shouldn't vote. :)

If your preferred level of spiciness is in between two poll options, go with the one that's closest to your preference. Personally I'm on the hotter side of in between Cayenne Pepper and Habanero, so I voted for 200,000 SHU.

Habanero is pretty mild to me.

Ghost pepper is a bit strong for a regular meal.

So somewhere in between. Like on the higher end.
Yeah the jump in spiciness is massive at the higher end, but I ran out of poll options so I had to make do.

LMFAO right? Should've went with the "0 SHU - I think bell peppers are spicy" option instead.

And that's perfectly fine. Hell, I used to think mustard was spicy. But growing up in a place with a significant hispanic population all but forced me to develop an appreciation for the endorphin rush that comes when your tongue feels like it melted and fell out of your mouth.

i had a burger with ghost pepper sauce, it was disappointing.

btw, ghost pepper stopped being the hottest over a year ago.

also, spice is actually a toxin to our body. thats why the body sweats/runny nose/watery eyes. the body is trying to get rid of it

Just a little bit. First option fits me pretty well. But it's strange that my local Taco Bell doesn't have medium sauce anymore (only mild or hot). It is a KFC/Taco Bell, so maybe that has something to do with it.

Yes of course it hurts, even when you are used to it.

Its like someone who gets stuck with needles all the time, it never stops hurting you just develop a mental tolerance to it.

Usually between Serrano and habanero (if I'm going spicy). It depends on the dish and how my stomach feels. Last night the curry I made was at cayenne level and it was good.

I have Carolina reaper sitting in my fridge waiting for me to use it. Worried I'll make something waaaaay too hot for my liking.

None of my local Taco Bells have medium anymore either. Hot is basically the new Medium now, and Fire is Hot.

Well I used multiple sources to get the SHU numbers then averaged them out. I questioned some of them too at first but it makes sense when you think about. For example, I thought Diablo sauce was hotter than Tabasco but then I realized that I usually use two or three packets of Diablo at a time while only adding a few dashes of Tabasco to things.

Big difference between Ghost Peppers themselves and the vast majority of Ghost Pepper flavored things. I like plenty of the latter, but a regular raw habanero is uncomfortable enough that I wouldn't want to eat them that way. Habanero flavored stuff tends to be fairly mild to me.

i tried the Ghost pepper sauce'd wings at Buffalo Wild Wings.....

and man dude i cant eat 2 without needing a sip of milk, my entire face starts to sweat.

And i thought i had a high tolerance for spicy foods.

but i can consistently eat habanero level food without assistance of milk

That being said, i think its funny some people say Jalapeno is spicy to them, where as to my jalapenos arent even spicy anymore,

it's something they use in the sauce mix :(. i do like the 5 alarm sauce from taco time. the diablo sauce from taco bell or jalopeno's in fact i need to pick up a few jars next week (they're becoming a staple in my diet) since i found them on the cheap.
