tbh I feel like even if that was true (it isn't), I don't seel what would be so wrong about eating 800 calories a day if that's what your body needs.

Of course, if you're like 7' you'd need like 3000 calories a day but if your body is short and you have PCOS or a slow metabolism that somehow only requires you 800 calories to survive, then that's it, that's all you need.

But NooOOoOo let's overeat just because I know better what my body need than a doctor.

Yeah... while one somewhat common symptom is weight gain (even if you were exercising and eating same as always) it definitely doesn't work that way. Plus it's just going to take some extra effort to lose the weight than it otherwise would, not make it impossible. So it's not an 'excuse' for downright obesity, particularly when it has been diagnosed, since treating stuff is obviously going to be easier then.
...I'm not sure how well I'm phrasing my thoughts right now since I'm tired.

Yeah...my wife has PCOS. It doesn't double your calories because that's physically impossible. Only real issue she has from it is she doesn't get her period every month (sooo many fucking pregnancy scares before she got diagnosed with it lol)

When she gains weight, she eats less and exercises more and loses it, just like everybody else.

I've read that fat people actually tend to burn more calories doing the same workout thin people do because their body has to work harder due to the extra weight. So the first several pounds tend to come off quickly.

my wife has PCOS and while she is at risk to gain weight more than a woman who doesn't have PCOS, all she does is make sure she counts her calories
so far she's never been fat in her life so it's not like this is impossible
