A 17 y/o girl from California is hailed a hero after she escaped from her house of horror home run by her CHRISTIAN PARENTS as she showed evidence of the horrific conditions she and her 12 siblings endured and was afraid she would be KILLED if she was caught by them!!

She was so malnourished that officers thought she was only TEN as police discovered the grisly conditions of her starved brothers and sisters..

The children were aged 2 to 29 as 3 were shackled to their beds and furniture with chains and padlocks in a dark foul smelling room.

6 children and 7 adults were malnourished and very dirty as it's not clear how long they were confined in the room.

The 17 y/o managed to escape through a window and called 5-0 from a deactivated cell phone found in the home as she finally broke free as police said she was very intelligent despite having limited access to the outside world.

They were all biological children of 57 y/o David Allen, who has a hideous BOWL CUT and 49 y/o Louise Anna Turpin and now charged with 9 counts of torture and 10 of child endangerment.

Child services now have oversight on the 13 children including the ones over 18.

The parents were extremely religious but there were no signs of the siblings were being sexually abused or that the parents had a "mental illness"

Louise was apparently perplexed when police went into their home as the family were dogged with debt as they filed for bankruptcy TWICE and owe between 100,000 to 500,000. In August of 2011, David was earning 140,000 salary as an engineer and the mother was a stay at home mom.

Documents showed David tried to keep his 2010 Ford Mustang but was forced to give it up and the family moved from Texas to California.

The grandparents were shocked by the allegations and said they had so many kids because they believed "God called on them" to do so and were very strict on home schooling as the children would memorize long bible passages and even memorize the ENTIRE BOOK.

The kids were also given names beginning with J in a tribute to Jesus.

This is in stark contrast from their Facebook that showed them renewing their marriage vows as ELVIS IMPERSONATORS along with their smiling family and several trips to Disneyland with the whole family

They look fine in the photos? I guess it's hard to feed 13 kids, though. Which is why most people don't have 13 kids. (Well, unless they were getting benefits.)
