It's one of the reasons why I'm avoiding Bitcoin. That manipulation, along with how much electricity is being consumed by the Bitcoin network, are both solid reasons to bet against Bitcoin's future at this point.

I remember buying an RX 580 for $200 right at the start of the current mining craze. A few weeks later they were at $400 a piece. 1060s are phenomenal for mining. You can get great hash rates out of them, at very low noise/heat/electrical use.
