I set up a meeting with a friend for later. I texted him if I should bring an item he asked for the previous day. I also called him. We were in the middle of a texting conversation that I asked it and he hasn't responded since. The meeting takes place in a half hour. I am thinking of not going since he hasn't returned that text with an answer. Is that the right thing to do?

if its a friend that always follows through, show up.
if its a friend that flakes, send a text saying you aren't coming since he never responded

I mean how bored are you? If you got better things to do, then do em and see if he responds later or whatever.

If youre bored and need some social interaction then take a trip and if he flakes out then at least you killed some time and can bitch at them later so maybe theyll make up for it

I think I used a too strong word in friend. This is a guy I met at college. This would be our first time hanging outside of school. So I don't know if he is either.

There is an incentive for him if we were to meet. He lost his phone charger and that was the thing I was bringing since I found it.

9/10 times I'd stop trying and just not show up after the first missed call/text. The only way I would still show up is if it was something super important and they also had a history of never flaking.

But yeah, most people are flakey as fuck. Not worth the effort.
