I've always found the agnostic title weird. Agnostic isn't really on the sliding scale of theism/atheism. You can be an agnostic theist, or an agnostic atheist. Gnostic means you KNOW, and AGNOSTIC means you aren't 100% sure. But that has zero to do with what you believe (or don't believe). It often is nothing more than a means but to distance ones self from atheists (since most people who identify as agnostic don't believe in gods)

It also leads to situations where atheists get asked by well-intentioned theists "Why not just be agnostic?" When most atheists are agnostic. We just don't identify as such because we find god to be improbable, and need evidence to believe any of these gods exist. It also depends very much on the definition of 'god'. I mean belief in SOME creator, and belief in a specific creator are two very different things.

I mean I'm not going to deny the possibility of a god, but I'm not going to believe in one without sufficient evidence. Just like I'm not going to deny the possibility of magic universe creating pixies, but not believe in them without sufficient evidence. I think the existence of both are equally probable.
