View Results I purchased extended warranty on the following products for the following lengths in the past year: Neato Robotic Vacuum Cleaner - 5 years I assumed that this complex machine will easily break within five years of ownership, so purchased it.* Cast Iron Traveling Lawn Sprinkler - 4 years I assumed the cast iron will rust and will make this sprinkler worthless, so bought an extension for $5.* 3D Printer - 3 years I assumed a 3D printer is a very complex machine, and checked replacement parts for it... The extended warranty was cheaper than major replacement parts (like the motors, extruder, and the motherboard). GigaSPX 01/17/18 10:51:05 PM #9:	Definitely not a waste. A lot of the things I buy from Best Buy (as my go to electronics store), I purchase Geek Squad protection on them. Anything goes wrong, I can walk into the store and leave with new ones without any hassle. Only thing that makes me think that's a waste are non-moving purchases, such as 4KUHD TV.
