Pretty good; they're too sweet to have a lot of them, and they don't mix with the other Runts very well, but on their own they're solid.

Fun Fact: They don't actually taste like modern bananas. When Runts were first made, we had a different variety of banana as the main one that everyone had. I think there was a crop blight or something and that particular banana species was nearly wiped out, so we have a different one now that tastes different. But Runts (and maybe other old candy brands) never changed their flavor formula, so the banana-flavored Runts still taste like the old bananas.

Yeah, we use the Cavendish now whereas before the standard banana was the Gros Michel (or maybe I mixed them up). They're all clones of a genetically-bred seedless banana. Wild bananas are smaller and have huge seeds. Fun fact, this is actually an urban legend and not actually true. However, if you dig in to this tale a little it soon becomes clear that there is little or no verifiable source that artificial banana is based on Gros Michel. It sounds very, very unlikely to me, says synthetic organic chemist Derek Lowe. The thing is, banana can be mimicked most of the way with a simple compound called isoamyl acetate. Many chemists know it as banana ester and anyone who smells it immediately goes, banana! http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20140829-the-secrets-of-fake-flavours --- This life is just a game we play, that we can never win.
