Current Events > Came back from the funeral. It's just been a great start to the year...

So grandmother died. She is Deanna (Chris Daughtry's wife's) aunt. Apparently, Deanna's mother came up to attend her sister's wake and funeral. Apparently, her husband went to the hospital for something, but she still came up here. This afternoon after the funeral and we were all heading back, we got to the local VFW for food and found out as she came in that her husband has a failing liver and.... I forget what the other organ was, and they are thinking he might not make it. She is heading back Monday, but having her sister pass, and now facing the possibility her husband will, our family is fearing a lot of this year. My father already said he has a bad feeling. In addition to it all, many of us were crazily sick all week. Just over the last few hours, I am starting to lose my voice as it is straining bad. My throat has been so sore since I've been coughing so much and my nose is on fire from all the attending I've had to do to it today. On top of mourning our lost grandmother.

Like fuck. Less than three weeks in and this is where we are.

Oh, and another fun part. The vault we are putting my grandmother in? They spelled our last name wrong on it. Needless to say, we are pissed. My brother and I have a gut feeling that though they said they'd fix it, they won't. They should have buried her by now. What are they going to do? Bury her and dig her back up? They aren't going to do shit about it.

Today sucks. 2018 sucks. I want 2015 back.
