GTA V's main game was kind of a let down. It was meaty with stuff to do, but the story and characters were pretty ass. Vice City & San Andreas are still the gold standard of fun, setting and tone, but I liked GTA IV more because it had the best story of the series.

Online I have zero faith in.

But I have no real worries for the main game. Red Dead Redemption was great and the mechanics will undoubtedly be a lot better all these years later. I just hope the story's good.

I like GTA V but it was pretty short. And the online was pretty garbage all around, not to mention everything being so overpriced to get you to buy shark cards. I'm not really interested in RDR2, I really just don't care for it.

as far as the campaign goes, I have complete faith in Rockstar. RDR and GTAV are easily some of the best games from last gen, I even enjoyed GTAIV, and Max Payne 3 was dope as hell.

Especially since I know a bit about the development of Red Dead. Redemption 1. It wasn't pretty, the game was basically a spaghetti mess of code and they needed Leslie Benzies to course correct the project

I'm sure it'll be amazing, but I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't reach RDR's level.

Single player will be amazing. The multiplayer will be amazing if you have $1000 to drop every 4 months.

I'm extremely worried

There's a lot of evidence to suggest that a lot of Rockstars success was due to Leslie Benzies leadership as a producer. This is even more documented for the first Red Dead Redemption where they basically say it was a complete and total mess until they brought him in to help Rockstar San Diego finish it.

And now he's completely gone.

I mean, let's be honest, it took Rockstar a year and a half to get the heists DLC out for GTA Online and while it's arguably the best GTA Online update, it's hardly worth a year and a half wait. And I'm pretty sure that Leslie Benzies left the company shortly after GTA V released so...

At best, I feel like we are in for another year and a half wait if we want a decent game because Rockstar seems to have shit leadership and can't organize worth a shit. At worst, we're going to get something similar to the atrocity that RDR was said to be before Leslie got involved.

That's not even getting into the idea of Railroad Bonds and shit like that.
