This restaurant has a history for doing stuff like this for gaining social media followers, it's pretty smart. For all the hate they get, it's increased their sales quite a bit.

Which isn't true, they just gave her a hearty fuck no response. So the hotel gave information to show exactly how the conversation went.

It's usually someone trying to make money in their spare time from their real profession.

I've done campaigns with hundreds of influencers over the past couple years. Most commonly I see that their passion doesn't line up with their career and they try to make money off that on social media in hopes they can make that their career.

Blogger emails hotel asking for free shit.

Hotel responds, bluntly, no. Hotel then ANONYMOUSLY posted the exchange to show how annoying these social "influencers" are. I'm sure this isn't the first time they have had people try to get free shit from them.

Girl sees email, despite her information and identity being obscured, makes a public YouTube video and reveals, on her own, she was the person of interest.

Fellow bloggers attack hotel.

Hotel says fuck it, all bloggers are now banned from said hotel. Because they're mainly toxic, petulant children who throw to fits when they get refused on outrageous demands.

I'm 100% in agreement with the hotel.

Again, it also says a lot about the person's mental state when they think they put universal studios in Orlando on the map with their Instagram exposure.

Large companies give away tons of free shit including free stays at hotels for simple positive reviews, blogs and exposure. Many times you have to approach them and show what your social media presence is.

What do you mean? It's not always that black and white.

It depends on the business' priorities and the influencer's experience with closing deals. Social media followers and average engagement is usually what you look for when paying influencers but like...SEO juice is incredibly valuable too. Trading accommodation for backlinks is an ethical approach many take.
