They got rid of cross job skills and replaced them with role skills. That is, healers have a small pool of shared skills. Casters have a small pool, etc. PvP, was streamlined. Lots of QoL improvements like cross server party finder, cross server friendlist; and cross server linkshell should be in next patch. As far as story goes, I thought stormblood was pretty good. There is a part where you learn the lore of the Au'Ra race you can select and most players really enjoyed that. It also goes the direction of comprising fanservice from past FF. You learn this when you beat heavensward though. Bard can now play music out of combat. Alliance raids has a roulette. You can go into the most common lvling roulette dungeons alone via squadrons if that is up your alley. They are npc characters you can level. SB people love Sam and Rdm. Ofc the top classes for serious raiding are still drg, nin, brd.
