And people upset it wasn't Secret of Mana 2 are the reason why Square soft USA shut down.

We didn't get FFV or Bahamut Lagoon either. Square did some stupid things with its localization priorities. We probably would've never gotten SD3 stateside. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe we still haven't, o_O.

But we did get a pretty damn good game. I'd love to look in a window where Squaresoft USA kept making games and see what they could have turned out.

I blame evermore for SD3 never coming to the US

They had nothing to do with each other through. SD3 didn't come out here because it was so big to translate because of all the multiple paths and branches as well as being late in the SNES's lifetime with the Nintendo 64 just around the corner. Secret of Evermore was a project to test an American development branch using a established and familiar engine.

Anyway Jeremy Soule is awesome and this is where his career started, as a teenager.
