You should just restoloop. You can get smithing up to 100 in literally 1 improvement.

Spend more time punching alchemists to collect fish than anything.

Now enchanting is a real pain in the ass

You should instead be making Dwarven Bows and tempering high-value weapons and armor, like Dragon Priest masks and Daedric artifacts.

And Smithing is one of those skills where it's worth it to sink the gold into training, same as Enchanting and Restoration.

I've had Skyrim since launch and played it for over 100 hours total, still haven't come close to finishing the main storyline. I think the farthest into the Greybeard quest I got was to talk to their leader dragon, but I never actually did talk to him. And I've picked a side in the Civil War quest but haven't seen its conclusion.

So much to do!

Pickings are slim in this department - mammoths are the only truly reliable source of white grand souls. You can get them elsewhere from high-level monsters like certain draugr deathlords (or bosses like dragon priests), but these are level-dependent, unreliable and largely unrenewable.

But the strength of the soul gem has no relevance to how fast the Enchanting skill grows. So just hit up every mage / general goods merchant and buy all the petty soul gems you can get your hands on.

restoloop.

Eh?

Basically you can make potions that break the game by taking advantage of fortify restoration potions. The basic gist of the process is:
1) collect as much fortify alchemy gear as you can
2) collect the ingredients to make a bunch of fortify restoration potions and a bunch of fortify enchantment potions
3) make a fortify restoration potion
4) drink it
5) unequip and reequip alchemy gear (which will be better than base because of fortify restoration)
6) repeat 3-5 until you get some crazy numbers (dont go too high or you will go over some number and be super weak instead of super strong)
7) make some strong fortify enchant potions
8) drink enchant potion and then you can enchant game breaking gear.

Like a ring of smithing that is so strong you can max smithing in one improvement. And then you can sell that improved gear to a merchant and max your speech in one transaction. I first make a ring of alchemy though so I dont have have to restoloop anymore.

If you are interested look it up. Its a very common thing and Im assuming they wanted it to be there since it hasnt been patched out in any of the releases

Random loot or merchants you need some cash for the merchants

You also dont need grand soul gems to enchant your rings. You can use any filled soul gem they just arent worth as much

I have to go but here is a great resource

http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Skyrim

And here is the section on restoloop

http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Glitches#Infinitely_Powerful_Items

Be warned though this can break the game quite easily once you are set up so if you still want to enjoy the game I recommend you only use it to level smithing, alchemy and speech. Which are all a pain in the ass to level otherwise.

If you're playing legit and need grand souls, do the Azura's Star quest and get the Black Star. That way any bandit or hostile NPC you kill will give you a grand soul.

100 hours isn't so bad. i have invested some serious time in some RPG's. think Xillia took at least 250 hours between the 2 playthrough's.
