Playing through this right now.

I am enjoying it so far. I kinda wish it was a little more industrial looking like the space pirate base on Zebes. But its still pretty cool.

Yeah a lot of the enemies are the same so far. Those annoying flying bats, aswell as those annoying shelled creatures who only die from missiles

There are also far too many different charging stations scattered throughout. It shouldnt be a complaint. But why could they consolidate health, ammo, and scanner power in one console

Loved the game, but yeah, I do kinda wish the enemy and environment variety was better. Along with more unique bosses. I recently replayed AM2R and realized that the addition of various new bosses was really cool, the official remake should've had that.

Also, on a replay, I realized that the Ice Beam is actually extremely useful early game, outside of on Metroids. Ice Beam shot + Missile instantly destroys any enemy.
