The security officers did tell me I cannot bring the multitool in. They did not tell me, nor offer me, the checking of the multitool, hence the argument started. The police officers were the ones that went to the counter to tell them to hold it for me. My beef is not really with the police officers (with the exception that they "lied" to me about this being a gravity knife), since they "forced" the employees to hold my multitool for me, but rather with the poor handling of the situation with the security officers. <cite>IdiotMachine posted [p:895404290] in Got hassle... Notably CA and Oregon have some of the most lax laws in the country. 5) if you're going to carry know the laws and don't carry anything illegal. That said I wouldn't really blame the security all that much either.
