This might be a stupid question, but cat litter is good for like a year or two, right?

Costco is having a sale on a 42lbs bag of scoop away cat litter ($3 off; limit of 3). FYI, it's normally around $12. We go to Costco once a week, so we can potentially buy 12 bags of this stuff, at a saving of $36 (or basically get three bags free).

We use one 42lbs bag in about 1.5 months, so 12 bags will last us a year and a half.

.................It'll be okay, right?

You're not planning on eating it, right?
If not, then I wouldn't think it expires

I thought maybe something about the "clumping technology" or whatnot may degrade over time to the point it just doesn't work.

If it's not sealed well it will absorb moisture and start to clump in the bag. Otherwise you should be good.

I might have to do this too, that's the brand I buy.

I know Costco will accept a return for a refund if that's the case (e.g. not my fault the product is defective), so time to do this lol.

Most litter is made from clay. Outside of the scented litters losing their smell I don't see any reason the litter would lose it's effectiveness.

I mean, if you don't seal it... kind of sounds like your fault tbh >.>

But if they still accept it, then fair enough.

The bag should come sealed when new.
