i'm 25. the last time i was under 200lbs was 7th grade. i've been working my ass off to lose this weight and i am almost there. i've lost 140 lbs and i still want to lose 30-40 more, but this milestone has me hella excited. you guys, it's happening!

Jesus. 140lb lost is a HUGE accomplishment. Congrats man and keep it up!!

I need to find more motivation to lose weight. Im 62 and 250...and want to be under 200 again. A few years ago I weighed 170 but suffered a spinal fracture that added a lot of complication unfortunately.

Now that Im feeling better and can exercise as hard as I used to...I want to lose like 50 lbs. its hard though once you have a full time job and much less time to focus on yourself. The balance is tougher for sure.

Off topic, but this brought to mind the fact that other people's weights just don't compute for me. I see "under 200lbs" and I immediately think that person has a horrible disease. If I weigh under 240 or so it means I'm simultaneously dying of AIDS, a tape worm, and some sort of bone cancer. I dunno, it's just something I can't comprehend.

Either way, good on you TC. It's always a good thing to try and better yourself, and actually follow through.

Yeah, its the last 30 or so pounds that separate being slightly overweight to actually in shape for your height that are an absolute bitch to lose. You cant rush those. Not that Ive been as big you were before but Im your height and went from 220 to 150 a couple years ago. Getting to 170 wasnt that bad but the last 20 pounds took a while. I went for a long time without weighing myself (because I knew I wasnt going up) but it was slow going.

I'm 5'10". My company makes us do health screenings for our insurance. They told me my healthy weight was 120-140. Yeah, no. I'd have to lose essentially all my muscle mass to get that low. I'd look emaciated. My doctor said 180 is my healthy weight. I'm 224. I have a lot of natural stocky muscle structure. I feel like so much of weight estimates don't account for muscle mass at all.

Yea in 2012 I went from 320 to 165.
I at the minimal I had to eat, and ran alot.

I'm around 220 now, eh whatever. I'd like to just be 200 at this point.
