this just happened to me

and it's happened sporadically for a while now. sometimes i'll be scrolling down a page and it'll just .... stop and i have to F5 to see the rest. or sometimes the 'post message 'box just won't be there and, again, F5 fixes it.

anyone? anyone? bueller?

Every case I've looked into so far is someone using uBlock Origin on Firefox. Didn't your parents warn you about the dire consequences of blocking ads on the internet?

confirmed that i am using uBlock Origin.

i thought i disabled ad-block for gfaqs because i like supporting site i frequent when the ads aren't too invasive. i must have done that on Chrome but not FF

I would have no issue paying a small monthly fee to disable them...
But yeah I hate ads, I always disable them, no matter where I am (Youtube Red entirely for that purpose, I don't watch any of their specials...lol).


not to start a debate on the ethics of blocking ads ....

at one point the ads here were pretty awful -- pop-ups that played music, etc. that's when i turned them off with adblock. they're really not that bad now, one at the top of the page and one on the side/bottom.

now i remember why i turned on ad-block: because after leaving a gfaqs tab open for a few hours the ads make the pages load reeeeaaaaal slow and they're unresponsive for seconds after being rendered. once i close the tab it behaves better but eventually deteriorates.
