last time someone came to me telling me a partner of mine was cheating, she proposed we have sex immediately as 'revenge'. really undermined my ability to trust her story

i did confront that partner and dumped her, and afterward she gave me enough of the story that i felt confident I was making the right choice. i was pretty sure her version of events was a lie, but it was already enough for me to make an exit.

It is what it is. It'd be nigh-impossible for me to find another girlfriend if I broke up with her, so I'd basically have to accept her behavior. I wouldn't confront her about the accusation, but I'd be more suspicious of her going forward; if our relationship was sexual, it'd have to be safe sex, and I'd need DNA tests before taking responsibility for any children.

I'd also attempt to determine any ways in which I haven't adequately pleased her, and try to improve in those areas so that she eventually stops cheating. I'd perhaps subtly guilt her for cheating on me by being really nice to her.

If she ever broke up with me later on, I'd then reveal that I knew that she was cheating all along, but overlooked it because I cared for her, as a way to try to get her to stay with me.
