The indictment does not allege that any American knowingly participated in Russian meddling, or suggest that Trump campaign associates had more than "unwitting" contact with some of the defendants who posed as Americans during election season.

Did you write that topic title on your own or is it taken from something in the article? Because indictments, by their nature, do not clear people of wrongdoing; the fact that X Y or Z people were not indicted today is not, in an ongoing investigation, proof that they will not be indicted in the future.

I'm a skeptic that anything from this will end up implicating Trump himself, but come on, dude. This is clickbait of the very sort you could typically be relied on to decry.

You do realize this only clears the Trump campaign of potential collusion with the named defendants in this case, correct? The indictment does not say the Trump campaign had no informed illegal collusion in general, just no collusion with these defendants.

To note, it would stand to reason that if there are many facets of Russian interference in the 2016, the smaller pieces would receive indictments long before the Bureau made it's indictment against a Presidential campaign--First for obvious logistical reasons; these are easier to indict, represent the outskirts of a larger conspiratorial network, and have much lower burden of proof. Second, however, because the indictments would allow the public to see the foundational claims that legitimize a potential criminal indictment of a sitting President. It is much easier to convince stalwart and obstinate partisans the President engaged in collusion with Russia by first proving Russia had extensive networks interfering in the election to begin with.
