Or Loki finding out he's the child of an opposing faction whose father was killed by Odin in battle and taken back to asgard to be raised by said family. Or Tony having to fight Steve. Or Steve choosing to defend a friend who involuntarily killed another friends parents. I mean, there are quite a few deep moments in these marvel movies. BP is no exception. --- http://i.imgur.com/Rqk1DYV.gif - Super Bowl XXI/XXV/XLII/XLVI Champions - NY Giants Eli Manning SB tracker: 2/2 Superbowls 2/2 SBMVP's ... Copied to Clipboard!

The only best thing BP contributed to the MCU was having a fleshed out villain with top notch cgi and chereography. Its still formulaic and predictable for a MCU movie.

Wasnt talking about T,Challa, I was talking about Killmonger In relation to T,Challas vision which is a generic meet your ancestors kinda thing that took place in the serengetti where he was greeted by Kings past and present - Killmonger returns home to the apartment he knew as his world and the only man he knew to trust his father - to which the question is asked why do they (wakanda) let us suffer? He starts crying and shows us something we Almirante never see in a marvel villain - Vulnerability Ill be honest, Jordan as Killmonger Pushed the movie over the edge - to give a villain a backstory like that and flesh him out was awesome to see. Stick any attractive man in the T,Challa role and itd be the same movie imo ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's rare in a MCU where the main character is weak and the villain carries the movie.

Actually, there is a huge difference that you missed. Black Panther isn't a movie filled with shitty one liners that are meant to reduce tension and make you believe that you are "enjoying" the film. Black Panther's scene is more emotional because it actually lets the scene play out instead of cutting it short with some shitty witty one liner --- \_o__/ ... Copied to Clipboard!

Killmonger has a lot of political and racial commentary behind his motivations that isn't usually there in the MCU. Vulture is the closest with his beliefs about the divide between the lower and upper class.
Killmonger brings the racial divide and oppression angle which really adds something unique. The cool thing about him is that being black is a large part of his character. It wouldn't be the same without it. Similar to Magneto living through the holocaust as a Jewish child. --- Kind Regards, Darmik ... Copied to Clipboard!

The best superhero villains are those ones who make you think "You're crazy and bad and all but...I get it. I get why you are the way you are."
It's so much more interesting than just some guy who wants power or money for the sake of it. Having a logic or emotion behind it is so much better. If you feel like you're relating to the villain that makes them really compelling. --- Kind Regards, Darmik ... Copied to Clipboard!

A lot of people could relate/sympathize with/understand Killmonger. Hell, even the main character did. He was wrong with the way he was going about everything, all he knew was violence and anger, then you look at T'Challa and see how Killmonger could have potentially ended up.
