Saturday morning cartoons or weekday afternoon cartoons?

Everyone has nostalgia for Saturday morning cartoons, but it was also exciting to come home around 2:30 or 3:00 and watch cartoons until 5:00. My routine used to be to come home and watch cartoons until 5:00, watch Carmen Sandiego at 5:00, then play games until 7:00/7:30.

I don't know but where I grew up Cartoon Network was great all week long, 24/7. Obviously Saturdays were great because it was your day off from school and you would generally wake up early.

I typically wanted to unwind after school while Saturday morning cartoons had the alternative of sleeping in which was always tempting

the death of Saturday morning blocks though is an eternal shame for various reasons

Weekday afternoon.

I actually never really gave much thought to Saturday morning cartoons until it became the big Interne nostalgia thing. Saturday mornings were for sleeping in and playing video games/toys.

I didn't have afternoon cartoons growing up. In the afternoon I got home just in time for Power Rangers, then watched that Kraft brothers show and then Zoom.

The joy of broadcast TV. I thought it was the coolest thing ever when we got WB on broadcast, cuz I could finally watch pokemon lol

A couple times. I did have times when I would watch a specific show for a few episodes but I never took not of the time because having a schedule defeats the purpose of Saturday, so after a few episodes I would miss one and forget by the time the next Saturday came around.

I have a feeling this may vary based on how old you are, but as someone who's probably older than most people around here....weekday afternoon wins pretty handily.

After School cartoons I loved:
- He-Man
- Thundercats
- Voltron (superior lion version only)
- Batman TAS
- Silverhawks

Saturday Morning cartoons I loved:
- Real Ghostbusters
- Dungeons and Dragons
