Im not white btw. I have nothing against them in particular, its just that I dont feel white culture by and large no longer has such respect for the institution of marriage as it once did. Whereas various other cultures still revere the idea of marriage and takes that commitment more seriously. I dont have any data to back this or anything, just the feeling I get from my experience

Well, its more the commitment aspect Im thinking about. Like for instance whos likelier to commit adultery because they dont take the vows as seriously, or more likely to break off a marriage instead of trying to stick it out and work through issues because marriage has more of an emotional and special significance for them

Eh it sounds bad worded like that. You have to take it from the perspective of how significant I take cheating to mean within a marriage vs how significantly she considers cheating or how loose her personal belief about what cheating constitutes. I was brought up in a very conservative culture, so I take cheating extremely seriously, its the worst thing you can do to me short of hurting me physically. But you know, not all cultures takes this line toward infidelity, I would say in white culture cheating is understood as a more loosely significant act because of the sexual freedom most people within said culture have experienced. So I dont fault them, its just people from a different culture having different values than me, I dont consider them worse human beings or anything
