Im not 100% certain myself. I feel like books generally have a higher quality of storytelling, but that may be less of it being better for it, and more that they have to focus only on text to make it good. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

There is no best way. Video games do things books can't, books do things movies can't, movies do things video games can't.

Live action, particularly a TV series where the characters and story truly have time to be fleshed out, develop, change, and evolve. Being able to foreshadow more subtlety in ways that might not even be noticable until a second viewing, giving it layers.
Movies have higher budgets however and are able to benefit greatly from that, but personally I think an amazing TV show can be better than an amazing movie. --- "You need to lay off the peanut-butthurt and u-jelly sandwiches" - NeonOctopus ... Copied to Clipboard!

Animation and video games will always best books due to visual and auditory elements.
Video games are more limited often times, but are more likely to allow the attention to detail that comes primarily from books. I'd say it's between animations or video games, tbh. Obviously tv show series are included. A book has never made me cry. It just can't reach as many senses. --- A show of kindness may not do much help, but a show of cruelty may do much harm. ... live-action.
books are aided by the imagination so that can go either way but pacing just drags down the overall experience since it seems like every book contains seemingly near-endless pages of descriptions that really don't contribute much to drive the story forward. shit like "the colour of his suit was blablabla " whereas with movies you can literally see the colour and then actually move on with the story. --- ...
