there's very few indian places by me though, is it a lot of curry stuff? actually arab food is far bigger in my area than indian.

Japanese, specifically authentically made (but sushi is always good as well).

Vietnamese ph is also a high favourite of mine as is a good Schezwan soup with noodles.

Nothing beats fish & chips or bratwurst with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. They keep the cold away.

Middle Eastern / Greek

Gyro, shawarma, falafel, hummus, tahini, tzatziki sauce, tabbouleh, dolma (stuffed grape leaves), feta cheese, goat cheese, dates...

I fucking love all of it and could eat that stuff every single day!

After that, it'd be Indian, Mexican, Thai, and Japanese.

Usually Italian, but lately I have been on a Mexican kick. Greek is also good, but it is so common here that I don't really consider it ethnic. Even the local mom & pop pizza places usually serve Greek style pizza instead of Italian.

American chinese, I love Chicken Fried Rice, I used to order from this one buffet where they would say you can order a few pounds of buffet for like 4 dollars, I would get a tub of fried rice for 6 bucks, fed me for days.

idk, too hard to pick. There are a lot of kinds I like. Japanese, French, Polish, Chinese (American Chinese anyway, the actually authentic stuff looks a bit rough), Thai, German/Austrian, and so on.

Other than Taco Bell and some of the very-not-Mexican chains of "Mexican" fast food places, never so much been into Mexican. Few times I've been to Indian places haven't really thrilled me either. Also never really got into Korean.

I don't consider "Chinese food" or "Mexican food" as ethnic Chinese or Mexican food. Still think I would prefer a good Chicken Biryani over Mexican tho.

Only Japanese food I really like is Curry Rice:

Canadian.
Maple syrup, poutine, ketchup chips.

For some reason, that last one is the hardest to find on the other side of the border.

Italian - Pasta and Pizza mostly. Spaghetti carbonara is great.

I used to like overcooked shit pasta because that was how I was raised. Then I started watching Food Network and saw the absolute disdain until I had to try cooking mine al dente. Now overcooked pasta is the worst.

Not quite the same thing. Otherwise the same is true of French and a lot of other European cuisine as well. On a more technical level, noodles originated in China (and came back with Marco Polo) and tomatoes (a staple in Western cuisine) came from the Americas so there's a lot of overlap.
