I really hope Smash 5witch brings back the reworked Charizard. I didn't like Pokemon Trainer it was just cumbersome and stupid.

I also hope they throw out Zelda and replace her with a BotW inspired Zelda. Her moves are just so shit in that game.

As a fellow Charizard user, I was really happy too. I enjoyed using him a lot even though he was pretty low on the tier list. I was also pretty good with Donkey Kong, Mewtwo, ROB, and every Fire Emblem character except Marth. If I had to say who my "main" characters were in Smash 4, I'd put Charizard and Corrin at the top of my list.

The roster is legendary. It's hard to improve on it. Sure you can add a few minor characters here and there, but in terms of sheer starpower, it's stacked.

You forgot Bayonetta in the "how the hell did they get into Smash?" category, although she technically isn't third party anymore.

I did forget about her actually (hope they keep her too but she needs to be nerfed somehow), but she actually technically is still third-party. Sega still owns the IP, it's just Nintendo's been funding her sequels. If someone else like Sony came around and told Sega "we want Bayonetta 4 on PS4 and we'll fund it for you" it'll totally happen.

I totally disagree. We're still missing so many characters and there are several redundancies that can be removed.

Like, we just don't need Roy, Lucina, and Marth in one fucking game like what the fuck.

We don't need Dark Pit to be a totally separate character. You can do the thing where you change the name when you change the skin as evidenced by Bowser Jr and Olimar so do away with that junk.

Dr. Mario was a cool idea to bring back the Melee Mario but honestly they should just get rid of the fludd nobody fucking likes that move. just delete that move and give us a Cappy move instead. If you want to have 2 Marios, one of them should be Paper Mario (who is still missing from the roster).

We still only have one F-Zero character. We still don't have any new Metroid characters unless you count making ZSS her own character "new"

Zelda series hasn't gotten a new character since Melee (Toon Link is just Young Link with a WW flavor)

additionally, there is a lot of demand for Splatoon and ARMS characters, and other shit.

You can definitely make improvements to this roster and it's not even hard.

I believe Nintendo has right of first refusal at this point. So that would only happen if Nintendo turned Sega down for Bayonetta 4.

Looking back, it was kind of sad that the only DLC was characters and stages. They should have had items or a new mode too.

True. Was kinda hoping for a proper story mode DLC. Didn't have to be Subspace Emissary length, but some kind of Adventure Mode. The game was a let-down on that department.

So you want to remove characters?

I didn't say it's impossible to improve on it at all, but they have all of the major Nintendo characters and many of the major non-Nintendo characters at this point. Except maybe Inkling. But there are no glaring Zelda omissions, nor glaring Metroid omissions (Ridley is too big), and F-Zero isn't exactly a mainstream series.

No glaring omissions, but some characters that would be neat I think:
- Wolf Link (Midna helps with some attacks, particularly grabs)
- Sylux (for Metroid...would make sense since they seem to be making him to be the next antagonist due to Prime 3's and Fed Force's foreshadowing and build-up)
- Dark Samus (has the potential for a unique moveset but more likely she'll just be a clone...bleh)
- Samurai Goroh for F-Zero.

You're being pretty dismissive of their series. Not just Splatoon, but ARMS, as well as legacy games that haven't seen much activity. Many of these series were huge back in the day. Balloon Fight, Eternal Darkness, Sin and Punishment, etc.

The Kirby series should have gotten another rep. They could have added Waddle Dee as a unique playable character, or added Dark Matter as a shapeshiftng "mimic" character (think Inferno or Charade from SoulCalibur) that randomly switches shape and fighting style after losing a stock or using Down-B to transform.

Kirby has other characters they can use. They've got Nightmare, they've also got the squeaks (probably just Daroach with the rest of the squad as a final smash) and other characters to draw from.
