I really see no reason for it to be an insert song? It just seems incredibly random.

Am I missing something?

I think it's just following the tradition of having a classic song covered in a style that fits Bayonetta (Fly Me to the Moon was the song in the fist game).

I'm fully expecting the tradition in Bayonetta 3.

Moon River does seem to be underused in 2 compared to Fly Me to the Moon in 1 however.

i loved fly me to the moon in bayo. moon river didn't do as much for me. maybe i just like fly me to the moon more in general. i dunno.

I didnt even know fly me to the moon wasnt an original song. It seems to fit a lot more then moon river though.

Fly Me to the Moon did have a plot reason in Bayo 1. I don't remember if Moon River does.
