Just play and you'll learn, land at all the locations around the map so you can learn it. Different players have different play styles, you'll figure out what fits for you and how you play. If you make mistake, you make a mistake. Just start a new game. It's really quick wait between matches.

First thing i recommend is getting used to the controls and how the looting system works and everything. It's not complicated. Also remember to learn efficient ways to build. If you're on PC i recommend binding building buttons to the mouse. After that i recommend dropping to populated areas to practice fighting. Dont be scared to fight, it's the only way to learn to adapt to different situations and improve your fighting ability.
