I think it's an issue with Imgur, because I don't have embedded media enabled and actually have to click the links, and that only works sometimes. If I remove the i. at the beginning though, it normally works.

That's what I thought at first, but it's not actually removing the i that does anything. You can just hit refresh and it works. So I think it's what helly said, for some reason direct linking is getting blocked.

could be caching, or a different place. imgur isn't the only website that can embed here

Actually I got this on some of them. No idea what's happening. Once you hit refresh though they should appear so eh.

On my phone, I have to refresh the page once for the imgur.com link to go from i.imgur.com to m.imgur.com

I just changed my browser's default settings to open imgur links in the imgur app, and it's fine now.

How?

if you make a quick little html file with an img tag in it, it loads ok. once you've seen an image once, it will continue to load on gamefaqs (because cache). so... it definitely seems like imgur is blocking gamefaqs (or gamespot.com now).

This, the only way you'll see an imgur image on GameFAQs currently is if the image is in your cache, if it's not then it's a broken link until you go the images url and hit refresh.
